Monday Morning April 22nd

Ta’anit Bechorot (fasting of the first born)

- Fast of the First Born on erev of Pesach  This commemorates the miracle which spared the firstborn Jewish sons from the plague which struck down the firstborn sons of the Egyptians.

Shaharit 7am with the Spanish

Followed by a Siyoom for the First male borns (Gemara reading instead of Fasting). 

Male first borns must fast until the Seder unless they participate in a Mitzvah meal example. Brit Milah, wedding or a Siyoom of a tractate (Mishna, Gemara, Talmud). 

It is a Mitzvah very highly regarded by in our Lebanese Community. 

If a 1st born child is under 13 (Bar Mitzvah) the Father typically comes to Synagogue

-Last chance of Selling of the Chametz

- Stop eating Chametz before 10:09 am   

- Burning and elimination of Chametz before 11:30 am

Lundi matin 22 Avril

- Jeûne des premiers-nés la veille de Pessa'h Ceci commémore le miracle qui a épargné les fils premiers-nés juifs de la peste qui a frappé les fils premiers-nés des Égyptiens.

Shaharit 7h avec la Spanish

Suivi d'un Siyoom pour les premiers nés mâles (lecture de la Guemara au lieu du jeûne).

Les premiers-nés de sexe masculin doivent jeûner jusqu'au Seder, à moins qu'ils ne participent à un exemple de repas de Mitsva. Brit Milah, mariage ou Siyoom d'un traité (Mishna, Guemara, Talmud).

C'est une mitsva très appréciée par dans notre communauté libanaise.

Si le premier enfant a moins de 13 ans (Bar Mitzvah), le père vient généralement à la synagogue.

-Dernière chance de vendre le Chametz

- Arrêtez de manger du Hametz avant 10h09.
