Pour permettre aux gens de venir en voiture le samedi soir, nous commençons Arbit à 7 :00 pm et lisons la Méguilla vers 7 :20 pm.. Chahrit le dimanche matin avec la Spanish à 8 :00 am La Mitzvah est de lire la Méguilla 2 fois; la veille et le jour de Pourim . Une des Mitzvot de Pourim est que chaque personne donne un montant d’argent pour Mahatit Hachékel, qui est estimé aujourd’hui à $ 8.00.Venez nombreux, nous vous réservons une très belle soirée : des grillades de chez Benny, des Hamentashen, des cadeaux et confiseries pour les enfants, et sans oublier le Scotch pour LeChaim

 

CHABBAT ZAKHOR

La lecture publique de Parachat Zakhor se fait toujours le Chabbat qui précède Pourim.- Cette lecture, tirée de la Paracha Ki-Tétsé, traite de la mitsva de se souvenir d'Amalek et de ses actions malfaisantes dans le but de détourner le peuple juif de son Créateur. Pour cela, nous avons reçu de D.ieu le commandement (« positif ») de garder en nous la haine contre Amalek et ce qu'il représente, ainsi que l'interdiction (commandement « négatif ») de ne jamais l'oublier.- La lecture de Parachat Zakhor se trouve donc en relation directe avec la fête de Pourim qui célèbre la victoire du peuple juif contre Haman qui était un descendant d'Amalek. Nos Sages ont déclaré : « Le souvenir d'Amalek doit être mentionné (lors de la lecture de Parachat Zakhor) puis effacé (lors de la fête de Pourim). ».- Certains décisionnaires pensent que cette lecture publique devient alors une obligation de la Torah, bien qu'elle ait été instituée par les Sages. D'après cette opinion, certains pensent que l'obligation d'écouter cette lecture incombe également aux femmes, puisque la mitsva de se souvenir d'Amalek n'est pas en soi rattachée à un temps précis.Les hommes, quant à eux, ont l'obligation absolue (de la Torah ou des Sages) d'écouter cette lecture. Chacun veillera donc à avoir à l'esprit au moment de la lecture de s'acquitter de son obligation. (De même l'officiant aura à l'esprit d'acquitter par sa lecture les fidèles de leur obligation). Dans de nombreuses congrégations, on a l'habitude de faire, avant la lecture, une annonce à ce sujet.

 

LA PARACHA EN BREF :D.ieu commande à Moïse de recevoir des Enfants d’Israël de l’huile d’olive pure pour alimenter la « flamme perpétuelle » de la Ménorah, que Aharon devra allumer chaque jour, « du soir jusqu’au matin ».Les vêtements sacerdotaux que les Cohanim (prêtres) devaient porter lors de leur service dans le sanctuaire sont décrits. Tous les Cohanim portaient : 1. la ketonet – une tunique de lin, 2. les mikhnassayim – pantalons de lin, 3. la mitsnefet ou migbaat – un turban de lin, 4. la avnet – une longue ceinture portée au dessus de la taille. En plus de ces habits, le Cohen Gadol (le « grand prêtre ») portait : 5. le efod – une sorte de tablier, tissé de fils laine et de lin teints d’azur, de pourpre et d’écarlate et de fils d’or, 6. le ‘hochen – un pectoral comportant douze pierres précieuses gravées aux noms des douze tribus d’Israël, 7. le mé’il – une cape de laine bleue, avec des clochettes et or et des ornements en formede grenade à sa lisière, 8. le tsits – une plaque d’or portée sur le front comportant l’inscription « Saint pour D.ieu ».
